Hey all,

I've been visiting Planet Gamecube for a while now, but they are getting really annoying with all their ad placements. Even AdBlock doesn't block these new full page adds. When I go to a site, I don't want to be propositioned with at least 5 sales things per page before I Get to the news
.

So, it's time for a new site. Anyone know of a site just as good, only with no, or relativley un-obtrusive adds?

THanks

Well, you could always try forums.nintendo.com? I don't go there myself but I'd imagine it's one of the biggest nintendo forums around.

I really like this blog:

http://gonintendo.com/

It gets updated very frequently (after lunch...)
 http://www.wiisworld.com/

Lots of rumors and stuff to keep you wishing and hoping.
http://www.nintendowiifanboy.com/ . It's just an offshoot of joystiq, and as always the comments section should be avoided if you value any remaining good will you may still hold towards humanity, but it stays pretty up to date.
I kind of like Wii's World. Nice layout....

IGN I USED to visit, untill they too got crazy with adds and subscriptions. They look like they've gotten a LITTLE better...are looks deceiving?

IGN is no longer the king of the gaming media sites anymore. Both Gamestop and 1up.com can offer you much more in terms of content and well written reports. All IGN has anymore are some exclusives here and there.

I disagree. I enjoy IGN much more than both Gamespot and 1up. There is not really much competition as far as I'm concerned.

I also have to disagree. While they aren't my first stop, Matt Casamassina is one of the industry's best insiders when it comes to the Wii. He's broken a lot of early news stories, and other sites often go to IGN for news and media first. Plus, they offer some coverage that other sites don't, such as their current import review for the Eyeshield 21 Wii game (which I now think I'll try to import). A lot of news exclusives (such as the Rygar and Ghost Squad announcements) come from IGN first. 1up is just OK....and IGN doesn't have an ad for a PS2 game that's as big as their main window on their Wii page.

For me, the order for Nintendo-only sites is:

www.gonintendo.com

wii.ign.com
www.infendo.com

though I rank joystiq.com and kotaku.com higher than infendo, even with mixed coverage.
