I was at a meeting today, and saw a video presentation off of a Sony PJ that said "Super Bright" on the back of the unit. What model is this? Didnt get a look at the CRTs to see what size they were. The box was smaller than my G70, though. And more square.

I had an old Sony 1020 circa 1988 that had that emblazoned on the outside of the case, pretty bold for a 5 inch crt.

Sounds like a 1040 series projector from Sony. That was my first.

Wasn't a 1020, probably a 1041,42


Was quite bright in 1988 when you couldn't buy anything else.

If it had an "S" video input, then it was probably a 1040 series.

Yea Fred, They sure are bright units. I can use mine in the daytime with blinds closed. It defenitly looks better at night though!
