What the DTVFX?

Anybody else have DirectTV? Somehow, the FX channel (248) isn't showing up on the RTV channel guide anymore? If this persists, I'll have to set up manual recordings of The Practice, The Riches, The Shield and who knows how many other shows that start with "The".

Very unpleasant.

I just noticed this also. It still exists on DTV...but it's not showing up in the channel line-up on my replay guide. WTF?! Who do we gripe to about this one? We're just getting to the point where I want to start watching stuff on FX?!

Looking like they still get guide data from Zap2It. If you look up a DTV TV channel guide on their site, 248 is missing there also.

*sigh* This is freaking annoying!!

I'm guessing we gripe to Zap2it. Here's the link to their feedback page with instructions on reporting a lineup discrepancy.

I'm of the opinion that when Zap2it fixes the lineup then the fix will cascade to RTV.

DTVFX Channel 248 has been missing from the Zap2It derived listings on my ReplayTV since 5/20/2007. I've also noticed it missing from your site looking up my local listings:

It was there previously...the channel still exists on the DirecTV system @ 248. Please fix this as soon as possible. Thanks.

FYI, you can still tune to FX, just enter 248 into the remote. However, if you want to record a show, you'll have to use a Manual Record, and use the FF key to switch to the Line IN setting of your satellite receiver (mine was Line2 for S-Video IN). Then, you can enter the channel number manually.

To get a listing of FX shows, go to zap2it.com, select a cable provider for your zip code, find its FX channel and then click on the FX logo on the left side of the screen. It will bring up a 7 day grid of everything on that channel.

Luckily I'm not much of a "That 70's Show" fan, so I'm covered for about half of FX's broadcasting.

I just forced a net connect and FX channel 248 is showing up again.

Yes, this is the good news. The bad news is they renamed the channel from DTVFX to FX, so any scheduled recordings will have to be reentered.

I'd keep an eye on this. If they rename the channel back to DTVFX the changes will have to be redone.

Thanks for the heads up. ...and yeah, I realized you could tune to it...that's how I checked just to make sure the channel didn't actually disappear or become a different channel number.
