i have a pioneer 50" plasma (PDP-5070HD?) in the living room which i love (if the 60" wasn't so high i would get it and move the 50" to the bedroom) and a 40" lcd samsung LN-S4095D in the bedroom. i am thinking about replacing the old 32" tube toshiba tube upstairs with the 40 sammy and getting something new for the bedroom (16' x 16'). any suggestions?

i was looking at the Samsung LN46A550 46" LCD TV ($1239) or the 650 model ($1489 - really more than i wanted to pay and i'm not sure about the red touch of color) or the Sony BRAVIA KDL-46S4100 46" LCD TV ($1300), but the Sharp LC52SB55U 52 in. HDTV LCD TV is at CC for $1299 (anywhere cheaper?) and seems like a very good buy.

i do have a samsung 5.1 box sound in the bedroom so a samsung would match. i don't have to do this right now, when will the new models be out and any chance they will be less or at least have more bang for the same buck?

Toshiba 46XF550 from Costco. Not only is it a great price but you get a 2 year warranty and Costco's return policy.

sorry no costco here. look like i would have to pay shipping so that would put it at $1400, not sure if i would have to add tax to that too. at that price i might would go with the 650a.

I know this is an LCD forum but if it's for a bedroom, on a budget and your not going be doing to much gaming on it I'd heavily consider the Panny TH-42PX80U or TH-50PX80U. They are going for a steal right now, a friend just bought one a few weeks ago and is very impressed with it. Considering your use for a bedroom set I think it would be a great choice and you won't find any quality brand name LCD anywhere near the price.
