I've in the process of building a WHS machine for storing my Blu-ray/DVD ISO Backups ( 250 BD & 200 DVD's)

So far I have

Intel E8400

4GB DDR2

1 x WD 3TB

4 x WD 2TB

160GB Boot Drive

Fractal Design Define XL

I will be adding HDD's as I need them.

What should I look for in a PSU?

I've read that the green Hard Drives don't use much power at all except when first booting, do I need high watts or certains a spec PSU, I'm a little confused when looking at the specs?

I need it to be able to power maybe 10 drives total in the future.

Thanks.

Something 300W-400W would be fine.

Just my 2 cents about psus in general. I have purchased a variety of the years and most people argue that modular are the best but imo the few wires that are actually removed or removable doesnt make it a selling point for me. if its modular and the same price as a similar unit fine but if the cost is more why bother over a couple of extra cords. Now if we are talking about a monster psu then maybe its more cause for concern.

+1 and especially in a giant case like the Fractal Design XL, modular would not be necessary.
