I'm in the midst of a substantial upgrade and would like to add 7.1 capability to a Martin Logan set-up that includes Ascents and a Cinema up front and (soon-to-be) Scripts in the rear.


The problem I am having is that my room does not lend itself well to rear surround speakers. Without going into specific details, it seems my best option will be to add in-ceiling speakers. The horror!


Is there an in-ceiling speaker that will compliment the rest of the set-up, or would doing such an install merely be a case of subtraction through addition? Am I better off staying in 5.1 rather than adding an unmatched pair to the rear?


Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Can you do 6.1? If so why do you get another cinema and ceiling mount it? I know of another user here that is using a pair of Cinemas as surrounds... goes by Leslie. Perhaps she will drop in

If you are that tight on space, I'd recommend staying in 5.1.


If looking to add a rear center, than as mwan said, use a Cinema.
