I just got my X1 all set up, and just realized something. I have DirecTV, but get my local channels through my cable company. Now, since the X1 doesn't have a tuner, how would you suggest I get my locals? I thought about using a VCR, but it's getting pretty cluttered as it is. Can anyone recommend a solution?

Sony has a mini tuner with recording to memory stick duo. It is very small and nice looking but a little pricey, I think at $299.

I use my DVD recorder. I don't nkow if that provides the best possible picture but it works pretty well.

Before I got Directv, I used an Emerson cable/over the air tuner box. The box has RCA outputs for Composite video and Left/Right audio. It's model number is ECC1450. I think it MSRP's for around $30 USD or so. The measurements are 9 1/2 in W x 2 in H x 6 in D.

You might as well get an ATSC / NTSC combo (HDTV / standard def) tuner, you'll want one pretty soon anyway. I've seen them from less than $200 in various closeouts as new models become available.
