I'm planning on picking up a used receiver on ebay, looking to get under the $100 price point.

It'd be nice to have 5.1 or more channels, but frankly a good 2.1 is fine.

It will be used for home theater, and I want to make sure it has the power to help my speakers fill up the room.

Basically what I'm looking for is a "hit list" of great, well reviewed recievers from the last 5 years or so that are still great receivers, but are a generation or five past their prime and might be available at that price point.

I'm going to set up an ebay watch list and try to pick one off.

Suggestions?

I have a Onkyo 777 thats fairly old now but sounds great still. Doesn't have HDMI, component in, or any of the latest HD style codecs but it sounds excellent and hasn't had one issue in the years I've owned it. It also had some of the best true wattage output for all channels driven in it's class and is THX certified.

It's rated at 105 watts a channel all 5 at full range as well. It might be too old for you or missing some of the modern inputs but it is a solid rig that I paid 750 for when it was new.
