I was wondering what sources other members have hooked up to their displays , I have an Acer ph530 720p projector with a Da-Lite video spectra screen, And I have currently aquired a DVDO iScan HD+ scaler and an sdi modded dvd player (Denon 1600) for a very reasonable price.

I also have HD D**h , a pvr , a Toshiba HD-A3 , an Oppo 980H (which I am comparing with the scaler and the toshiba) and a Panasonic dvd recorder .

So please share what Projector you have and the equipment you have setup with it.

Sad Patriots fan here...Ugly ugly game. I watched it on my Acer PH530 also.

great picture. I have it hooked up to my Comcast DCT-5100 via components. My screen, is a beige wall. (haven't gotten around to getting a screen yet)

Also the pj is shelf mounted on a flexy I built. The pj is sitting about 30inch off the floor projecting from about 9.5ft. I'm very happy with the pq so far.

Mits HD1000 throwing on Carada 104" BW screen. Tomorrow my Onkyo 605 should be delivered and I will hook up my Dish 622 DVR and OPPO dvd player to it via HDMI with HDMI output to the projector (right now all switching is done through a switch box which will come in handy when I need more than two HDMI inputs). I plan on hooking up my LiteOn DVD recorder with component cable out to the Onkyo with optical audio. I have a cd player and minidisk as well but I hardly use the minidisk anymore and the OPPO does at least as good a job playing cds as my regular Pioneer cd player so I may not hook that up at all. I have a Panny dvd player going to my projector as well with a direct component connection but I'm not real sure what I will do with that. More than you asked for but I got on a roll.

HC4900 + 92" Da-Lite HCCV

PS3 -> HDMI -> Yamaha RX-V1800 -> HC4900

Scientific Atlanta 8300HD DVR -> HDMI -> Yamaha RX-V1800 -> HC4900

Wii -> Component -> Yamaha RX-V1800 -> HC4900

Laptop -> RGB -> HC 4900

I love the setup, but I'm pissed off at the horribleness that is the state of remote control technology. The PS3 is bluetooth, so that's out. The HC4900 remote is IR, not RF, so I can't change settings without getting up and turning around. The yammie remote won't control the DVR functions on the Scientific Atlanta 8300 HD. It's a damned disaster.

How do you like that ps3 upconversion with your 4900?

I'm so torn on what to buy to upscale my DVDs.

Sony 77H 1080P upscaler for only $89

Oppo 980 for $170

Oppo 981 for $229

PS3 for $299 (after that $100 cash back from Sony Card).

Blu Ray is winning right now, so I don't think I want to drop $249 on a A-35...Plus I hear it doesn't upscale nearly as well as the Oppos anyways.

None.

I have an Optoma Movietime and we usually only use the built in DVD player, although I will watch NFL and NHL playoff games sometimes with an outboard HD tuner.

I have a ps3... Don't hesitate, it's the best purchase you can make in this list. By far!
