My wife really doesn't like the fact that there's a little icon on my HTPC System tray/Notification Area entitled "Asus Probe". She finds this to be far too close to "Anus Probe," and it didn't help when I explained that this software monitors the temperature of the processor.


Are there better freeware alternatives to this software?

You could hook up a long cord to the HTPC, then tell her that the icon does indeed say "anus probe", and then chase her around the room with that long cord.
