I'm connecting a receiver to a PC for gaming and I was wondering if there is any hardware that will convert a game's surround sound into Dolby Digital? The Nforce 2 onboard Soundstorm will convert a game's surround sound into Dolby Digital so that you don't lose the surround effects in games when passing it through S/PDIF. This is what I'm looking for except I don't need the mombo just the Soundstorm which is why I'm looking for an alternative. If anyone has any info please let me know. Thanks.

To my knowledge, there is nothing besides the nForce2 chipset (MCP+T) that will do this.

Soundstorm is not the nForce2 hardware, btw, but a specification for how it can be implemented.
