Hey folks,

Longtime member of this site but haven't posted in about 4 years I think...

Anyways,

I have an older Pioneer Elite 45tx receiver (no HDMI) and just got a Panny 35 for Christmas. I really love the receiver and have no need to update it at the moment other than the newest greatest features. So my question would be this...

Should I take back the 35 and opt for the 55 or Samsung 2500, or sit tight with what I have an not have access to the DD+ and DTS-MA HD sound formats?

How much would I be missing using an optical connection and listening to just DD or DTS? I have a 5.1 channel Klipsch Heritage system with 4 cornwalls and a Heresy center.

Your thoughts would be appreciated.
