Here is a list of the equipment that we have and need hooked up:
- Sony KV-36XBR450 HDTV (1080i/480p/480i) (No HDMI, just 2 sets of component and others)
-Sony 80GB Playstation 3
-Comcast Motorola HDTV cable box (No DVR) (with HDMI output)
- Onkyo TX-SR575 7.1 Surround Sound Reciever
- Bose Acoustimass 6 Home Theater Speakers (5.1)
We do have other equipment setup, like a CD player and VCR player, but the VCR doesn't need to go through the surround system and the CD changer is setup perfect.
This is what my initial plan was:
When looking through the instructions, I could not figure out how to get the reciever to understand that what goes in via HDMI I would like to come out through component.
If the above won't work, then I was thinking:
If anyone could lend me a helping hand, it would be great!

- HD Box >>HDMI>> Onkyo Reciever >>Component>> TV
- Playstation3 >>HDMI>> Onkyo Reciever >>Component>> TV
