Hi,

I have connected the progressive component output of my Denon 3800 to Input A of my Sony D50. The picture looks great, but it's a little dim in dark scenes. So I looked into the manuals, because I wanted to know if the projector and the DVD player use the same signal levels.

The Denon manual says :

Y: 1 Vp-p 75Ohm

Pb: 0.7 Vp-p 75Ohm

Pr : 0.7 Vp-p 75Ohm

The Sony manual says for Input A HDTV Y/Pr/Pb:

Y: 1 Vp-p +-2dB, 75Ohm

Tri-level sync: +-0,3Vp-p

Bi-level sync: 0,3 Vp-p

Pr/Pb: 0.35Vp-p +-2dB 75 Ohm

Now I wonder if that's an error in the sony manual, because I don't know a component format with 0,35 V p-p o Pr/Pb or do the projector and the DVD player not match?

regards

Markus
