Alright guys. We have a Sub guy from the subwoofer forum asking me about drivers and I haven't looked for a while.


Whats the best thats in stock now!! Amps are easy and EQ's but the drivers I haven't been looking.


Save him from the commercial sub guys , please !!!!!

To keep it simple lets go with high excursion 15" or 18"

SDX-15 is in. Great performing driver and very pretty.

Well, I don't know what the line looks like but the Mael-X are in stock and Kevin is shipping out orders as we speak. I don't know how many he has in this run, but it would certainly be a driver worth considering in the 18" range.

Thanks for the clarification...not to be confused with the thread started here ...by me.


Yes, Kevin has taken the Mael-X off the site to stem the tide of incoming orders, but one could certainly attempt to place an order via email or via phone (both of which are still on the site). Kevin hasn't indicated how many drivers he is able to ship out this time around, but an email or a call would likely put you in the queue for a driver when they become available again.

Also for us Canucks... a Mal-x with shipping can cost us $500.00... thats like two SDX15's..... so it's tempting to me who wants two Mal-x's to go with 4 SDX's....... I wonder if I will be ahead by then?

Long discontinued so you'd be forced to buy used.

Is 20mm Xmax or higher considered "high excursion"? If so, the Mach 5 IXL woofers are usually in stock. If their website is a representation of what is in stock (which it usually seems like it is) then they are available.
