OK, with these tiny lt150's coming in I was wondering what is a small, reasonably amplified audio source (even mono besides the tiny internal speaker) that will allow a wide screen movie experience? Say if I want to go to a friends and project without dragging the whole 5.1 setup and speakers.

I would first check out Cambridgesoundworks.com a friend brought a set of these to a cottage a few years back and they were pretty sweet. Two sattelites and a small sub. he was a rep for a projector manufacturer (ampro) and he would use these for demos. Next step, go to a good sized computer store. it is amazing what is available for computer speakers these days.

I recently took a projector on vacation. I took a portable DVD player and the amplified speakers from my portable CD player with me. It worked out great and all of it fit inside one carry-on bag.

You might also check out the Klipsch Promedia series (2.1, 4.1 and 5.1).
