A friend of mine, is trying to find a cheap 5.1 reciever in the $249 range? What's the best deal? I remember hearing about a real cheap Kenwood that went for $299 that had won lots of awards and stuff. Does anybody know the model # on that? Thanks.

pioneer 508(DD only) or 608(DD and DTS) can be had for under 300 if you search.

I bought my parents a Pioneer (508 I think) @ B.J. Wholesale club for 199.99. Only has one digital input though. But it work great for them.
