Unfortunately, there is no one correct answer to the

question you posed - no perfect projector.


The choice is affected by a number of trade-offs. For

example, D-ILAs offer some of the best images, however

that comes at the price of having to feed it a properly

scaled signal, and you have to have some way to deal with

the heat and noise.


If you want a more user-friendly projector - those too

are available. But they won't have the ultimate in image

quality.


My advice is to take some time to read these forums until

you become familiar with the pros and cons of the different

projectors and can make an informed choice for yourself.


Unfortunately, there's no free lunch in HT.

1. How big a screen do you want?

2. How close do you want to sit?

3. Can you put the projector in a separate room (to deal with heat and noise)?

4. Are you willing to go the HTPC route to get great DVD picture quality?


Some things to consider.
