What's the cheapest card I can get to output HD?

I understand that for an HTPC to output HD signal, you will need a DVI-out graphics card.

I am planning on buying ATI HDTV-wonder and need a graphics card that will output this captured HD content. I currently have two PCs that have MCE 2005 installed and I plan on getting another PC for a third one. All three will be networked together with a server that will store all media - 1TB storage.

PC with HDTV will be used for capturing HD content while all three will be displaying this content in addition to DVDs. In-order for me to displat this HD content, would a card like a ATI 9600PRO work? IF it will, are there any cheaper alternatives since I will need three of them. :)

Componnet output will also output HDTV video such as 720p and 1080i there is no requirement that you use a DVI interface. In fact if your TV is a CRT technology TV you are probably better off using a component interface.
The three displays I have are

1. 53" Panasonic RPT

2. Infocus 4805

3 27" LCD TV
9600pro will do fine, so would a 9600 non-pro
A 9600SE will not handle 1080i but the Pro or XT with 128MB will.

your understanding is off.

Both my family room htpc and my theater room computer output HD using the regular vga out of the video card. So whatever resolution your display will accept from the card comes into play. Even if the video card doesn't have DVI out - you can still get HD out of a MyHD DVI daughter card.
