Is the 335 just a slightly newer model? Or are their major differences between the two?

Thanks,

I just got the 330, and I'm looking at the PDF manual for the 335, front features section.

It looks like the 335 adds:

-Dolby Pro Logic IIx & Dolby Headphone sound modes

-EzSet+ does a few more speaker setup options automatically, rather than just speaker level

-Speaker crossover settings at 40-60-80-100-150-200Hz, 330 has one at 120Hz rather than 150Hz

-3 optical/3 digital inputs on back (1 each on front), rather than 2 each on back, 1ea on front with 330

-70 wpc in stereo (2 channel), 65wpc in stereo for 330 (7-channel listed as same, 55wpcx7)

That's all I could find.

EzSet+ sets speaker size, crossover frequency, and delay time on the 335, although many people (at least on the forums here) find that they like to go through and set it manually. So it doesn't have the EzSet EQ that helps adjust the frequency response to sound better in your room - I think that's a feature of the 435/635.

Dolby PL IIx would be nice on the 335, but Logic 7 also has a 7.1 channel mode you can use (maybe other modes as well) on the 330.

Really? Even the H/K AVR-125 has a fixed crossover @ 100 Hz.

What I mean is that the 330 has crossovers at all the same points, except it's 120Hz on the 330 and 150Hz on the 335. The other points are the same (40, 60, 80, 100, 200).
