I'm just trying to work out where to put the shelf its going to be on, and i was just wondering, when "right way up", so the projector is just sitting on the shelf, is the lens at the same height as the top, the middle or the bottom of the screen image (or something else?).

Thanks

ok, so with the lens shift, the highest i can put the projector is the top of the image right?
If the projector is aligned horizontally to the center of the image, then highest you can place the center of the lens above the desired image position is approximately 13% of the image height (based on the 63% max vertical shift). So, for example, if you're projecting a 100" diagonal image (49" image height), then the maximum you could go above the top of the screen area is roughly 6". Placing the projector lower will increase your image quality (as you're closer to the "sweet spot" of the lens) and allow you more horizontal placement flexibility.
