I recorded an irreplaceable video clip with my mobile phone in 3GP format/720p. However, the video plays sideways. I would like to re-encode the video to a more common format; and, at the same time, have the video playback in portrait mode.


I would prefer the most light-weight software possible (preferably free); as, I would only need to use it once.


I already have Nero 10 Platinum; but have no idea if it can do something like this or not.


Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Update: I keep underestimating the power of Windows Movie Maker. Its extremely intuitive; and figured it out in less than 15 seconds. I was worried I had to use something like Virtualdub; which isn't near as friendly as WMM.

Since you already have Nero, you could have done it in Nero Vision which allows you to rotate 90 degrees at a time. What I like about Nero is that it produces excellent quality output with many format options even though it's still a little slow and a memory hog.
