A friend of mine purchased a Draper screen and has a Marantz S-3 projector. The screen is a drop down and the wall is approx. 4 feet behind the screen.

The image lights up the walls behind the screen and you can watch the movie on both sides of the screen. Very distracting at night.

I have a Firehawk screen from Stewart and I do not have this issue. Any idea's.

Thanks

Steve

There are a lot of screen materials that are slightly translucent. If your friend can put up some kind of black fabric behind the screen or on the back wall that would fix it, but I'm guessing he can't since he has the pull-down 4 feet out. I think nearly all of the unsupported vinyl fabrics let some light through. Some more than others.

Vutec makes their BriteWhite material in an opaque version if your interested.

Yeah,

It's to bad but 4 feet behind the wall is window that he bought black out shades that sure enough don't let light in but aren't stopping the light from bouncing back from the screen.

I wonder if they will put another fabric on there or not?

Thanks

Steve
