What's up with this 1272 lens setup?

I've got a 1271, a 1272... and seen pics of LOTS of 12xx's, and I don't recall seeing this arrangement. What the hell are the "toothed" rings? I know my 1272 and a 1252 I set up for a friend was nothing like it!

Anybody know what the deal is?

Those close-ups of the CRTs don't appear to be of the same projector as the one showing the 3 CRTs together.

They are D50 lens shots on a 1272 auction.

I think it could just be a mistake. Sale looks pretty legit to me.

However, Given that someone bought it for $800,..I think it's fair to say it was a rip off or at best a Fair deal.

yea what i mean is the listing is real(for a 1272) but someone used fake tube shots of the projector so when the guy that bought it opens it up and looks a the tubes thats when he will find that he got ripped a new one...
