I will be adding a partial wall to my theater to mount a surround on, and section off the A/V Gear behind it (the wall being added will be the one above the A/V gear in the picture below).


Do I need to put any type of insulation or anything in it? Or just the typical acoustic panels like I would the other walls to make it match?

are your other walls insulated and/or sound proof if not I wouldn't bother put ac panel is fine. for my ht i didn't bother to take out the drywall i do the treatment after.


however it is always better to put insulation in the wall since you are building it from scratch
