I'm looking to buy a new AVR, probably the Pioneer 1018, and am wondering when the manufacturer's generally reduce their prices to clear out inventory for the new models. While I'd like to enjoy a new receiver now, if I can save a hundred or two by waiting that'd be great.


More specifically, is there any reason to believe the Pioneer 1018 will be available for $350 or less within the next 6 months or so?

With the current state of the economy dealers are discounting everyday. Just look around until you find the price you think is reasonable.
