I have an Asus GeForce 9600 graphics card that's hooked up to my internal spdif connector and it sends audio / video via HDMI converted DVI to my Onkyo 606 out to the speakers...

Whenver I resume from standyby, the audio is very crackly and the problem isnt fixed until i go into device manager and disable the soundmax digital audio device and re-enable it!!!

This is VERY annoying and frustrating, anyone know how to fix??

Thanks!

Oh, the motherboard is an Asus P5Q deluxe

Have a similar issue (no sound at all) when resuming from stand by, but with an EMU sound card. MB is an ASUS P5K WS. I also have to disable and enable it to make it work.

But interestingly so I have no problem at all on my second HTPC with another EMU Card with same driver/OP (Vista32), but mobo is an ASUS P5B Deluxe. So it might be an ASUS issue with some of its MBs that might be fixed with a BIOS update.
