Does anyone in the DC area know of any stores selling the DTC-100 for clearance prices? I've heard some folks on these boards discussing discount DTC100s ($350 and below), but I've not seen any for sale at those prices in the DC area.

I am in the same situation. I live in Arlington and am trying to find a DTC100 for less than $400. So far no luck. Let me know if you find a good deal.

I was considering a used DTC100 from a friend of mine. I know its been out on the market for awhile. Is it still a good unit? Do they have a down side?

No component output just VGA. You will have to buy a 100.00 device to connect to component inputs. Other than that no down side.
