So the small privately owned company that I bought my Pioneer 111fd after a generation or so of serving the DC area is closing down. I really feel bad. My question is, with my 2 year elite warranty, where could I bring my TV in case something happened?

About 5 years ago, I had a JVC DVD player that was busted and my experience with these corner electronic repair stores was simply horrible. I got my DVD player back 5 times and each time the problem persisted. I do not want to go through this again. I hate buying from the big B, but I'm afraid I will not have a choice. Capitallism at its finest I guess.

As long as you're within the warranty period, you can call Pioneer and they will assign a tech from a local company to come fix (or at least attempt to fix) your TV. I don't think it matters that the store you got it from shut down.
