Neither.

It's flush with, and directly embedded in the rear wall of the theater room:

Where do most cinema's have their projectors? On the ceiling? In a stand? Or are you not telling me? :D

Like Mark, it is behind the theater in a projection / equipment room .

Mounted upside down under a "mini projector table", on top of a book case, in the back of the room. The lens center ends up being just 5" from the ceiling.

Mine is like Mark's as well, but I have a square projection port glass for my lens due to the square panamorph on my SX21.

Mark, I like the round hole for the round lens. I wanted to do that but then my screen would have been huge. So I hung it from our 12' ceiling.

In a projection 'booth' in the back of the theater. It sits on a shelf 20" above the back row of seats (about 5' above the main floor level) and projects through a boring square window in the rear curtains - no cool round window with nice molding like Mark's!

Behind the seating area on a pedestal cabinet. "Santa Fe" style house with high wooden ceilings dictates this. Still waiting for some more long throw options.
