Where is King Kong on HD DVD?

So much for the May release of this movie. Maybe we will see it in July but it seems to me that if they really want HD DVD to take off that movie is a good one to get it started.

So if Samsung delays their player again it could be many months before it happens.
My guess is King Kong is fond of turkey with all the trimmings.

So, maybe a little like the strategy of Microsoft wanting to release Halo 3 just as the PS3 is coming out. Could be Kong against the PS3 if your guess is right (and Universal doesn't start releasing on BluRay).

They probably want to put an ICT flag on Kong, so holding it back as long as possible is a smart move. No need to upset people until enough of them buy the format, then who cares?

There is another thread ( http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=667936 ) over in the HDDVD software forum talking about Kong also. Robert (TiVo Dealer) has been told by his sources that Kong will be released the first part of June on HDDVD. That would be great, but you know how things can go..............
Hopefully King Kong will be on HD DVD soon and the original Planet Of The Apes will be on BD soon after. Then I can go ape watching both movies in one night. ;)

Personally, I hope that Robert's sources are more accurate than this Robert's sources. However, it is now the end of the first week of May and Universal has been pretty good about announcements so far with titles announced into July. I'm pretty sure if something as big as King Kong (no pun intended) was happening in June, we'd already know about it.

Not to say you are wrong, but Serenity ( admittedly not a big name film) was not even on Universals initial release list but instead was slated for summer originally. We can hope any way. :)

Good grief I wouldn't watch Planet Of The Apes if it was in HD, 3D, and they paid me 3 grand. :D

Wow, not even for $3000? You must really despise this movie. If you were talking about the remake I'd be more understanding. :)

Thing is when I first moved to Nevada the first year I got snowed in for almost a week and all I had to watch was Planet Of The Apes on VHS and I must have viewed it twenty or more times that week. I got to where I was cheering the apes on near the end of the week. :D
If you want Kong heres what you do. Get a hot actress rent a ship and travel to skull island. :)

LOL, well that certainly explains your not wanting to see it again. :)
You know now that I think about it and after watching King Kong four times I may be burnt out on that one as well.
Yea, I bet I will watch it once to see how it looks then it will be relegated to demo material.
