I went to half a dozen electronics stores. most of them didn't even have the CRT section turned on, and the staff just gave me some lip about how crt is "dead" and tried to sell me a flatscreen.
In others the hd crts weren't even hooked into an hd signal, and the picture on one particular toshiba was a complete mess - quality was on par to a "the price is right" broadcast from 1970. the staffs were useless.
Only best buy seem to have any idea what they were talking about, and didn't try to talk me into a flatscreen to boot. But the only HDTV they had were Samsungs and huge Sony Wegas. Not very good considering the units I'm most interested in more affordable Sanyos and Toshibas.
I need a store that has a decent array of HD CRTs set up and ready for viewing.... ideas?
