I am looking for the Marantz RX-77 adapter that enables the IR->RF->IR feature on the Marantz RC5200 remote. All of my local dealers are saying it will take 2-4 weeks to order it, and it costs $140, which is a bit steep I think. Is there anywhere that sells it online (I am not terribly worried about warranty issues, as it's such a simply piece). Or, could I use one that came with an RC9200, and if so, does anyone out there want to part with his/hers for a fair price and help me out?

You could try the Philips RFX 6000 RF extender. I haven't tried it with a Marantz but they both use the same 418 MHz frequency in the U.S. models.

I believe that the RFX-6000 does work with the Marantz remotes. It's identical to the RX-77, so it should work.
