Planning on buying a Mits next week (thinking about the WS-65611), and I was wondering... is it a bad thing (as I assume it is) to put stuff (VCR, DVD, etc.) ON the monitor? Are there certain things that are OK to put on the monitor, or is the only acceptable thing air?

If so, what kind of entertainment center do you have, and gimme some pros/cons.

It is usually fine to place some items on top of a RPTV; just make sure that it does not affect the ventilation of the unit. In terms of sturdiness, it is not usually an issue, but certain units(not Mits) have an unusual design(like the Sceniums) that prevents placing items on top. I use the top for my center channel speaker(make sure it is shielded) and have all of my components in an A/V stand.
