I live in the largest city in Kansas, not counting Kansas City, and yet my options for viewing fixed pixed projectors are extremely limited. I wouldn't mind driving or flying to Oklahoma City, Dallas, or St Louis if I could see multiple technologies being demonstated side-by-side so that I could judge for myself what's been talked about on this forum as regards pixel structure, contrast, "rainbow effect", noise, etc.

I am in the market for a $5K to $7K (steet price) projector but I really don't have a CLUE as to which of these technologies would be right for me. I have some strong preconceptions about what to EXPECT, again based on following this forum for over a year, but having not seen these with my own eyes, I really wouldn't feel right in making a buying decision.

Recommendations? It needs to be "hub" city that serves Wichita, which mostly would narrow it down to Dallas, St Louis, Kansas City, or Denver, with Oklahoma City within driving distance.

I would be happy to show you my G15 when the whole setup is finished theoretically within 30 days however I don't know of any dealer that has all the technologies that you have mentioned in one place. Your best bet IMO is to spend the time and $ to go to CEDIA in early september.

Even at CEDIA you probably will not see them exactly side by side. Only a dealer who has a bunch of customers that are virtually guaranteed to pay full retail can afford to have these units set up side by side since technology changes so fast and overhead would be a killer.

I am in Jo Co as you probably know. Email me if you like.
