JVC and Epson will have at least one new model each. Do not know if Sony is showing anything new.

That one is getting pretty long in the tooth, but I would not expect UST 4K before a regular native 4K projector.

Last year, people kept saying they expected the 4500 to be replaced. I said it is not happening and many did not believe. Again this year, not happening. If JVC replaced the chips, it would be a new projector and not called RS4500.

It makes no sense to me why European JVC suppliers stopped carrying the 4500 a year and a half ago.

Frankly, I wouldn't mind a new Full HD JVC with improved E-shift utilizing the CFI they gave the native 4K N-series.


According to Kraine, Epson will feature 4 new home theater projectors at the preceeding IFA in Berlin, "2 from a new series, and 2 'refresh' ".

Only one from Epson moves the needle of excitement.

2017 was the year Sony won, 2018 JVC won, and I hope Epson knocks it out of the park this year.

True. The laser projector is the only one that has any excitement for me.

There are no projector related press releases sitting in my inbox.

And I can honestly state that I'm not sitting on any embargoed news.
