Which 65" LCD? Sharp LC-65D64U vs. Olevia 265T

OK I've pretty much narrowed down my >52" LCD choices down to these two models, as they seem to have a decent price point for their size and I can't justify the thousands more for Sharp's 120hz models.

Has anybody gone through a hands-on evaluation of the two? As far as I can tell, the Sharp 65D64U has a newer, 4ms panel and is about half the weight of the 265T (along with a slimmer footprint in general) whereas the Olevia 265T has an older(?) sharp 6ms panel, is over 220lbs, but has a superior(?) Silicon Optix video processor. Am I warm?

Are these both 10bit panels or 8? How is the processing on the sharp compared to the Olevia? My source material will be mostly HD, with the occasional 480-line DVD thrown into the mix.

Honestly I was about to drop the cash for the Sharp until I saw mention of the Olevia with the Silicon Optix processing (despite the seemingly inferior older panel and heavy weight) - SO is a brand I've heard many positive things about concerning their 1080p processing.

Thanks in advanced for any replies here.

I guess these sets are not that popular here?

You're probably right, since the market for 65" sets is very small compared to the 40" - 52" range.

I haven't seen the Olevia in person, but own the 65D64U. I've been very happy with the set. Not sure if you've read the 65D64U owner's thread, but here is the link:

Olevia did annouce a 120Hz 65 inch model at CES 2008. If you search AVS you will probably find some information about it.
Can anybody at least identify the generation or equivalent model sharp that the 265T is molded from? From that point I can base image quality reviews from that sharp panel.

It almost certainly has to be the same substrate as the D64 from Mexico Baja Tech Zone only with Syntax electronics added at their factory when you consider the price at Costco.

It would simply be to expensive to ship the 65" glass from Japan to sell it for what it sells for. Olevia makes it quite a bit heavier for some reason.

Our Olevia 265T Carton states "Made in Taiwan".

If it is the same panel as the LC-65D64U, then how come the sharp can state 4ms and Olevia only 6ms?

Shot in the dark at my own question - due to the HQV processing, the Olevia adds 2ms of latency?
The Sharp claims to have a 10,000 to 1 dynamic contrast ration, but it does not say the native contrast ratio. Is it any better than the 2000 to 1 native contrast of the Olevia?

Actually if you go to Sharp's own website and click on the detailed specs of the 65D64U you will see that the native CR is 2000:1
