I am about to get an onkyo 805. My TV has 1.1 HDMI. Since the Onkyo has 1.3, is there a specific cable I need to use for HDMI to the TV. I also have the latest Direct Tv HD DVR with HDMI. Not sure which level it is. Does it matter which cable I use for that? Thanks.

Between the TV and the Onkyo, any HDMI cable will work, BUT.. for your components that hook up to the Onkyo, its probably wise to make sure you buy HDMI 1.3 cable spec.
