Which DVD player are you using with your H77 and are you happy or not.

The Panasonic S97 and Denon 2910 are on my list so far.

CheapB: Im using the Denon 3910 and could not be happier, running at DVI-720p twice  I had people ask if I was running a high def movie

source , I think the 3910 is worth the extra money over the 2910 .

How are you folks configuring your dvd players and the h77 for optimum use? i.e. upcoverting etc. I'm not one of the fortunate to have an iscan so i'm just using a brand new panasonic s97 .

thanks,

tom
I used the Bravo D1 with good results, the s97 should be fine also. Match the PJ's resolution 720p and set the H77 to native aspect = zero overscan.
Was using the pansonic, but went with an iscan wih a sony 400 disc es player through SDI. Stick with the panasonic. Not worth the expense to upgrade to the sdi, IMO.

Best,

Chris
H77 came today and the S97 is ordered and is scheduled for friday. I hooked the PC up via DVI at 1280x720 in the mean time.

"Pirates of caribbean" never looked better to me.

After the DVD player, the next projects are a HD Cable box, hooking up the good ol' VCR and then evaluate the samples from Dalite for the screen.

This forum has been the most important source for me in the process. Thanks for all the good input so far..
