I am getting a new DVD player for christmas and I am having trouble deciding between two of them:

Sony DVP-NS755V

and

Sony DVP-NC655P

If anyone has used any of these players and can offer suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

What TV are you using it with.

If you search this forum you'll notice the panasonic DVD-RP82 is very well liked. Purchased the Sony NS715P online but resold it a week later when i heard all the good things people here where saying about the panasonic and denon dvd players.

Alot of the decision depends on how nice of a tv you have.

The Sony DVD players don't use the better rated de-interlacing chips and they also exhibit the "chroma" bug. Don't believe that everything Sony makes is GOLD. Their quality control has diminished over the years. Try a Panasonic or Denon - you can't go wrong with those models, much more bang for the buck!
