The subject says it. The only DVD players I've ever found manufacturer stated specs on the MP3 bitrates supported have been on some Pioneer models which only clain to support up to 256kbps. Since my entire collection is encoded at 320kbps VBR, I need something that will support that. Black casing necessary. Progressive scan is a plus, but only useful if unit is =>$150.

Thanks,

Kensai

I know that the Panasonic CP72K can (burnt some this weekend and they played great). This makes me think that most of the Panasonic line (those that claim MP3 support) will be able to handle a 320 bitrate, but I only have experience the the CP72K. It can be had online (jandr.com) for ~$200 minus a $30 rebate. Have fun searching.
