I am in the market for a new receiver.


The Pioneers interest me, I currently own the Denon 3300.


Which Elite; the 56TXi or the 54 TX or ? I can't justify paying more than what these cost and I'm not sure I would benefit fom I-link, at least not for a while.


I know there are a ton of options and some very good choices but I'm only interested in info from someone who knows the Elites.

I just bought a 54TX, and I'm very happy with it. In the future I will want to add a SACD player (the 59avi looks great), and it sure would be nice to have the I-link.


I'm considering returning it and getting a 56TXi just for that, considering that a GOOD set of interconects to hook up a multichanel source costs about the same as the price difference between the 54 and 56. I didn't really consider that when I sprang for the 54TX


Either way, they are both GREAT receivers!
