I'm a strong believer in extended warranty. I see two options

LG (manufacturer of my TV) for about 10 dollars more than squaretrade and they extend the warranty 3 years

or

squaretrade who extends the warranty for 2 years

It's hard to tell but it seems like LG is a legit warranty service while squaretrade is like an insurance plan where you have a spending amount (the amount you pay for the TV) and when it runs out that's it..

but it seems like it's easier for squaretrade to just straight up replace your tv

what do you think?

squaretrade doesn't replace tv's, they will simply cut you a check/paypal you for your original amount paid if your tv dies/is busted and the original 1yr warranty is up. Also it takes literally 5 minutes to get a squaretrade warranty and they have superb customer service.
