Thanks for the reply. Right now I am using a Samsung SIR-T150 (totally silent) to receive OTA and the HD transmitted by my cable company (MSG, FOX Sports and HBO). Rumor has it that when Cablevision begins the rollout of digital cable boxes in June that they will no longer send HD through their system using 8VSB. If that is true and if there is no way to pass through the HD signal with their box, I'll be switching to DISH or DirecTV. My display is 720p native so I'll be looking for a STB that can output at 720p. I've heard the Panasonic and it is horribly loud. It seems like DISH 6000 would then be the way to go. The upcoming Zenith STB also sounds interesting but early reports indicate a very loud fan also.
