I am ready to order Goo for my HT1000 on a blackout cloth screen. Which combination of topcoat and base coat is best for the HT1000?

We need to know a few things first.

Is it a 16:9 ratio screen size, or is it 4:3 ratio? this will dictate how many sq. ft of surface area for the screen, and the amount of lumen that PJ will shine on that given screen area.

The ambient light conditions in the room are also part of the equation.

Is the HT 1000 going to be run in differing modes? Is it it calibrated, etc? As much information as you can supply....
The screen is going to be a 4:3 60" x 80" screen made of blackout cloth. The HT1000 will be mounted on the ceiling 13 feet from the screen. The room will have no ambient light. I will mostly be viewing HDTV films and DVD's. The HT1000 will be running in its stock settings for the time being. I will be applying the goo with a Campbell-haus HVLP spray gun. I did call GooSystems when I ordered the paint. The rep suggested that under those conditions and for a film like like picture I should get digital grey. I did get the digital grey, but something is telling me that I should have ordered the digital grey lite. Does anyone have experiences or recommondations to share on this application?

Should I prime the blackout cloth before I spray the goo basecoat on it?

The delivery time was excellent. I received the goo in two days since there was a local distributer.

The blackout cloth does not need to be primed, as you will be using the rubberized sized for the application.

The blackout cloth should be mounted before attempting to spray it.

The lumen count on that PJ, with that screen size (equates to 'x' number of lumen per sq. ft.) will get you to where you want to be for a film like image, with that mixture combination. The viewing should be excellent and very comfortable.

Spray the Basecoat and Topcoat until your supplies of each are exhausted, but be wary of spitting when you get too close to the end of your sprayer's reservoir capacity.
