The new 60" XBR is arriving on Saturday (supposedly) and I was wondering which cable, satellite company should I hook up to this bad boy.
I currently have E" with the 510 DVR which has been flawless. I must have a DVR. The current crop of HD-DVRs are limited, E* has the feature-filled 921 that is very buggy and very expensive at a grand. D* and TiVo will introduce a HD-DVR in the next few months and comcast (my local cable provider) is touting the same. Less costly than the E* or D* for sure.
Most of time I will want to watch HD on the new TV so I want to ask which way should I go? I currently have comcast hi-speed internet so I should be able to get cable cheaper than the satellite providers. I would love to have the MLB or NFL ticket so D* looks good. So, is it . . .
Keep E* and get on the 921 waiting list
Switch to D* with their HD TiVo
Switch to comcast with their current HD box and upgrade when their HD-DVR comes out
Thanks for you input
