Just wondering which models offer Native pass thru and does not convert the signal?

I see that the LG LSS-3200a offers this, do any other stb's offer this mode?

Thanks,

Mike

The HTL-HD and the Sony HD-300 does, I think the Samsung 360 does also. You can download the manuals for all of them on D*'s site...

where is that option? i always change the resolution when i change to specific channels. Are you saying the box automatically detects and changes it ? that is what i am looking for.
Yes, the VOOM box has a mode which automatically detects and passes through the native res. It's selected with the front panel button under the flip cover (right side). Repeated button presses cycle output through 720p, 480p, 480i, NATIVE, 1080i and back. Works perfect for my 4:3 HD set; shows widescreen HD and fullscreen SD automatically as I surf.

One warning: the set-up menu seems to be native 720p which causes my display to blank. Channel change doesn't recover - I have to cycle power to the VOOM box.

The LG 4200A has a "native" mode, too, in which everything is passed through as received. The only exception is that 480i is converted to 480p in case you use DVI, since DVI does not support 480i.

The 4200A still outputs 480i on the component connections in native mode also.
Oops, I should clarify. The VOOM box works as I described for the component outs. I don't know how the DVI works.

I guess we should ask what type of feed do you intend to use for your HD?
