Hey guys,
Ive been lurking as a guest on this forum forever, planning an HT setup, and I finally pulled the trigger on an old Sharp pg-m20x XGA projector for a beginner home theater setup, and it will be coming this thursday.
I have some pretty heavy confusion when it comes to the connections on it though... all it has on the back is regular yellow plug video, S-video, and a DVI-1 port.
Our main sources will be:
A regular DVD/VCR combo deal, I figure ill use s-video for that.
Xbox 360(with HDMI) - i'd like to use the HDMI output...
and an HTPC with DVI output
I guess we might have to share the DVI plug on the projector between the HTPC and the xbox... untill i get a swicther or a receiver that supports HDMI or DVI.
But the question I have lies with the XBOX 360, because I understand that the projector does not support DVI-2... so will i even be able to use the HDMI port on the xbox? I was planning on just getting a male-male HMDI-DVI cable, but then i ran into a topic about HDCP-some sort of digital protection that is not supported by DVI-1
So, whats the best way to connect the 360 to the projector?
