Which is better?
Looking for my 1st HDTV and have settled on LCD after looking at various TVs at local stores. I'm looking for something under $1500 and so far am interested in the Samsung 3296, and the Panasonic 32LX600, but have not seen either of these in action. So does anyone know which is generally considered the better TV?
I did hear that the Panasonic has a better stretch mode for 4:3 than the Samsung, so I dont know if that's enough to tip the scale in favor of the Panasonic.

Have you tried the Fantastic Search function ??? Both models return numerous threads where you can get your info.

I did, but unfortunately the search feature on this site is horrible. I search Samsung 3296 and I get a bunch of results that don't say anything about that TV.
So is there anyone on this site kind enough to help someone?

And there's a big thread about the Panasonic LX600 series and other threads that discuss it.

Weird, nothing to do with the TV I searched for, except for my thread. Interesting. I tried both title and post searches. So it's been proven that this is not a great search system. So again, can anyone with any knowledge of these 2 TVs offer an opinion on both of them?

It looks like your not doing an "Advanced Search". You need to go to the "Advanced search" window, it is available on the normal search pop up window when you click on "Advanced Search". From there enter "+Panasonic +32LX600" in the "Key Word(s)" box and then hit "Search Now". This will find forums that will have those 2 words somewhere. To find them combined together use "Panasonic 32LX600" in quotes. Read the "Advanced Search Help" on the advanced search page.
