Just had a Winegard GS2200 antenna installed by D*. The guy had no idea which way to locate the antenna. I know which way the tower is but am not sure which part of the antenna should be pointed toward it. See attached. I think it is with the wing perpendicular to the direction of signal.

you put the "wings" perpendicular to the incoming signal - does not look like much of an antenna, more like a gimmick...

I know what you mean. It does look gimmicky. It has a built in amp and I am going to power that up today from a transformer they supply. We will see after I aim the antenna properly.


Thanks for your help. I wanted to be sure.

Perpendicular to towers. The antenna is bi-directional, so either "side" can face the transmitter.


Those antennas are designed for RVs and seldom work well. If it works for you that's great (for some people, a coat hanger works), but if not, I wouldn't waste much time trying to make it work.
